Zpool handles your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This is a plain summary of how that works.
What we collect
To match a ride we need basic details such as your name, mobile number, and the start and end of your journey. Drivers also provide vehicle and document details for verification. Location is used while a trip is active so the journey can be followed.
How we use it
Your data is used to run the service: verifying drivers, matching riders to trips, processing the booking fee, and keeping trips safe. We do not sell your personal data.
Your rights
You can view a summary of the data Zpool holds about you, download a copy, and request that your account and personal data be deleted. Records the law requires us to keep are retained in anonymised form. Consent for things like location is asked for clearly and can be managed from within the app.
Grievances
A named Grievance Officer is available in the app, as required by Indian rules, and reviews privacy concerns within a 30 day window.
The complete and binding documents are presented inside the Zpool app before you sign up, and you are asked to accept the current version. For any question in the meantime, write to us at hello@zpool.in.
